Homer Dodge Martin

Homer Dodge Martin (1836-1897) was an American landscape artist most commonly associated with the tonalists though there are some echoes of the Hudson Valley School in his work as well.

 A North Woods Lake (1867)

 Highlands on the Hudson

 Lake George

 In the Housatonic Valley (1850s)

 In the Adirondacks (1881)

 Landscape with Fishermen

The Iron Mine, Port Henry, New York (ca. 1862)

 Saranac Lake (Morning)

 Sunset, Adirondack Lake (ca. 1870)

Toward the Adirondacks

 The Sand Dunes (1887)

Here's a color-corrected version of the preceding. Which do you prefer?
I haven't seen the original so I don't know which is more accurate.
